For several years I had the pleasure of communicating with Joe in Travel Chat and other chat rooms on AOL. Although we never met, Joe was a friend. He had humor, insight into the human physche, and was clearly a family man. It was refreshing to interact with him. I would like to extend my condolences to his family and assure them Joe will be truly missed by a lot of us whose lives he touched online.

I am so happy to have known Joe in "Travel Chat" for a couple of years. I wish I could have met him in person. He was always so proud of his family---always mentioning the accomplishments. He was such a nice, wise and knowledgeable person (and humerous). We will certainly miss him. May God be with you during this time.

Not having known Joe personally, we became good friends through our online chats. Being
about the same age, we shared pleasant
memories of some of our favorite places in
the world. Know that he will be missed as
a cyberfriend.

I have known Joe for 10 years. I met him at the Peterson Chapel where we were volunteers together. He always loved to share jokes with the ushers. We were often "shushed" during Mass because we would sit in the back and talk. I remember when Joe had been away for awhile because of an illness. When he came back to Mass and stood in the hall handing out bulletins, almost every woman gave him a kiss on the cheek! They were all so glad to have our handsome usher back! He loved people and he loved Donut Sunday becaues he could sit and talk with everyone. He was always kind, gracious and understanding. I truly love Joe. I am sure he is volunteering in Heaven... He is sitting at the gate greeting the folks as they enter and telling St. Peter a few good jokes. He is greatly missed and I extend my sincere sympathy to Shirley and the Marciano family. Thank you for sharing Joe with us. May God's peace comfort you.

Joe, will be miss at Peterson AFB Chapel. He was all ways helping us to collect the offering at the Catholic mass; we called him the Godfather of the Ushers. In the area were we count the money we always give Joe the $5 bills and any money that was folded; He would have fun unfolding them. Jean and I will miss him very much. Joe, we love you and will miss you dearly.
