MOUNT PROSPECT - Joseph M. Marsiglia, a resident of Algonquin, formerly of Inverness and Mount Prospect. Beloved husband of Joyce M. Marsiglia nee Becker. Loving father of Anthony (Joanne) Marsiglia, Nancy (Bill) Stewart, Susan (Peter) Foreman and David (Elzbieta) Marsiglia. Cherished grandfather of Janelle (Benjamin) Everill, Scott and Jason Stewart; Lauren and Robert Miller; Ashleigh, Taylor and Carl John Foreman; Abigail and Dominick Marsiglia. Dear great grandfather of Ashton Everill. Fond brother of Marge Dyson, Rosalie Hayes, Victor Marsiglia, Mary Lambert, Angie Corrick, and Bernard Marsiglia. Many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Born July 19, 1922 in Chicago, the first born son of Lillian and Anthony Marsiglia who came to the United States from Sicily, at rest peacefully on December 3, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Army vet of WWII. He participated in the Omaha Beach Invasion of Normandy on D-Day, June 6, 1944, Past Commander and Life Member of Mount Prospect VFW Post 1337. He and Joyce were married for 58 years. They enjoyed traveling the world together. Visitation Friday 3:00 - 9:00 PM at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road (at Northwest Highway), Mount Prospect. Lying in State Saturday 9:00 AM until Services 10:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 100 S. School St.. Mount Prospect.
