Dear Joe. We came to visit you today. And we left you a flower and a personal note. We will be visiting the Freedom tower for the first time today. With your picture in my pocket. And the love we have in our hearts. Strangers stopped by and read the note and even prayed. And only had kind words to say. We miss you. Tommy and Jo

I've been at liberty tower and saw the note at Joseph Plumitallo name, me and my wife got really emotioned with that beautiful act. Its a tough and painfull happening to lose a love one in such a terrible event. We'll always remember and pray to God to bless the Plumitallo Family and to warm their herts. We understand and support you!

I've known Joe forever. We use to work together in the Bond Room on Wall St. I use to go visit him in Brooklyn, and we would visit me in Long Island. We had a very special friendship. Alot of laughs we use to have with Liddy, and Barnett at work. I miss him everyday, and think of him often, He is a kind hearted man, that always brought a smile to my face. And funny too!
I will never forget you, and miss you Joe! God bless you and your family.

I signed this guestbook about 5 years ago when I was younger. I look back on it and the many spelling and grammar errors. Now that I'm older I'd like to explain myself more clearly because everything is much clearer to me now. Over the years the Plumitallo family has become my second family. Doreen is like a second mother to me. Lisa is not only my best friend but she is like a sister to me. I could fit Genna into the category of an older sister I never had. Little Joseph is always attached to my little brothers so I treat him as a brother as well. It's hard to believe Joe has been gone for so long. As much time as I spend with this family I still can't imagine how hard it must be for them. I watch them stand strong and get through day by day. For such a loving beautiful family, they don't deserve something such as this. I know Joe is watching over them with a smile on his face because there are millions of reasons to be proud of this family. Doreen is such a wonderful mother for her children and she is truly an angel to watch how she perfectly takes care of them. To Doreen, Lisa, Genna, and Baby Joseph, I wish the best for you in all the years to come and I know only the best will come because you have an angel on all of your shoulders. To Joseph, may you rest in peace and you will always be kept in my prayers and please continue to watch over your amazing wife and blessed children.

my uncle joey was the best always making everyone laugh and always making sure everyone was ok if ever you needed something he was always there to help you. he was an exdrodinary man with and extrodinary life story.he was just amazing,with an amazing wife who is such a strong woman, who i admire,the two of them created such wonderful children, not a day goes by i dont think of all of them. they are always in my prayers and i know uncle joey is watching over all of us smiling.. aunt doreen genna, lisa and joe jr i love you!

Hi, this is Bozenka Shepherd and i attend RBC with Genna and i admire her so much that words can not describe, We've been best friends since freshmen year and i love her to death, just seeing her every day puts a snile on my face and i couldnt imagine highschool without her, shes taught me so much about life in general. To the family of Joseph Plumitallo,

I live in Brooklyn. My mom's maiden name is Plumitallo. Her first name is Elvera, she is 76 years old.Her brother was named Julio, her sisters Connie, Anna, Edith. Her parents were Louis & Caroline Plumitallo. She tells me that Joseph's dad is her cousin. First or second, I don't know. We have Plumitallo's in Deerpark, LI also. Anyway, I just want you to know that I frequently visit the wtc site. I pray underneath the sign with Joseph's name. My husband & I went there last night to say the rosary. Please know that although I never met him, I always pay my respects to him when I'm there. Last night, was beautiful. There were flowers and cards along the gates. So peaceful. The lighted beams were uplifting. God bless all of you. Rest assured I will continue to visit the site , and pray for Joseph and all of you.

It is hard to believe that 3 years have gone by since that horrible day on September 11th, 2001. But, not a day goes by without thinking of fond memories of Joe. He would be proud of his family and how Doreen is taking care of his children. I am sure his shining light is upon them. He is truly missed. I was driving down Hylan Blvd. and came across a street named after Joseph and decided to let the family know that tonight they will be in my prayers. As we approach the second anniversary of 9/11/01 we are all still very mindful of all those who are not with us today. It is sort of a new memorial day. God Bless you all.

At the eight o'clock Mass at the Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago, a bowl containing the names of the victims was displayed. We were asked to draw a name and pray for that person. I picked out Joseph's name and will continue to pray for him. So sorry for your loss.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Joe, but my sister-in-law Jackie tells me he and my brother Bernard Pietronico were very close. Joe was Bernard's boss at Cantor Fitzgerald and they were working together on September 11th, 2001. Jackie is convinced they stayed together on that terrible day and I have to believe that this is true given everything I've been told of their relationship. I wish I could have met Joe because he sounded like a really nice and generous guy who was a lot of fun to be around. In fact, he sounds a lot like Bernard.



I did have the opportunity to meet Joe's wife Doreen at Bernard's funeral in January after his body was found. I am most grateful to Doreen for coming that day as I know how difficult it must have been for her. My impression of Doreen is that she is a very brave and courageous woman. She and her children continue to be in my prayers. May God bless Joe and his family.

I would like to express my deepest condolences to the Plumitallo Family. I lived on Lake street and knew the whole family, I remember growing up and playing on the block. I remember helping painting their garage with them when they frist moved in. My heart aches for all of you. No words can express how deepley saddend we all are. None of over lives will ever be the same. I will pray for all of you through this horrific time. My god bless you all and comfort you through this tragedy.

On September 11th, my first thought was of Joey. I worked with Joey at Dean Witter a long time ago. The last time I saw Joey was at Cantor Fitzgerald in the World Trade Center. I immediately looked for his name as a survivor or victim and when I could not find it, was relieved and thought maybe he had changed firms or was off that day. I only discovered on 3-11 that Joey had been in the building that day and had not survived. Joey and I lost touch with each other over the years as friends often do. We marry and have children and pursue our careers. I only wish I had stayed in touch. To his family, God bless you all and I pray for you. Joey was a wonderful man and I am very blessed to have had him in my life, I will never forget him.

IT SEEMED LIKE JO WAS MY FATHER ON 9/11 BECAUSE I CRIED BECAUSE OF THE LOSS.STILL TODAY I CRY AND WISH THAT MY WISH WOULD BE GRANTE SO HE MAY COME BACK.JO WAS A FUNNY GUY AND LOVED TO TELL SORIES.I CRIED NIGHT AFTER NIGHT WHEN I HEARD WHAT HAD HAPPENED.I FEEL VERY BAD FOR LISA, GENNA, JOE JR. i had met joe numerous times over the years.he and my brother bernard were great friends.joe always had a smile on his face,and would always buy me a drink.joe was a great man,and i will never forget him.
