Josephine Bauer Obituary
She is predeceased by her husband Frederick W. (Fred) Bauer, her four brothers, Max, Joseph, Anton and Karl, her sisters Hedwig and Wilhelmina along with her two favorite dachshunds Schatze and Mini.
She moved to the United States soon after World War II and lived in Philadelphia for 60 years before relocating to Colorado Springs to be near family.
Josephine (known to most as Omi) was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother and a friend to all who knew her. She was the kind of person who you could always count on for advice even if you didn't want to hear it.
She is survived by her only daughter, Heidemarie Needham and her husband Rob, along with three grandchildren Ryan, Eric, and Christina Needham.
Memorial Service to be held North of Colorado Springs at Benet Hill Monastery, 3190 Benet Lane , Colorado Springs, CO 80921, on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 6:15pm with cremation internment and memorial at Whitemarsh Cemetery in Ambler, Pennsylvania.
Donations are requested in lieu of flowers to Benet Hill Monastery.
Her life can be summed up in three words: family, cooking and caring (especially for her grandchildren).

Bye bye, Omi. Rest peacefully.
Heide and family, death is a bitter pill to swallow. To you and all who knew and loved Omi, her sweetness will forever linger and in time replace any bitter.
