Josephine Gunn Obituary

Josephine (Jo), Elizabeth Gunn passed away at her home on August 29, 2005. Jo was born in Gansevoort, New York, on October 3, 1924. She graduated from Ballston Spa High School, after which, she attended business school. Jo worked as a legal secretary and for civil service. Jo is survived by her husband, Walter, her daughter Jeri McDowell of Colorado Springs, a granddaughter, Shannon McDowell of Massachusetts, her grandson Will McDowell of Colorado Springs, two sisters: Eugenia Schumacher of Ballston Lake, New York and Anne Holland of Herdon, Virginia. Jo will be remembered as a loving wife and mother. She will be remembered also for her generous nature and spirit. Visitation will be Thursday, September 1, 2005, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m., with a Rosary to follow at Mountain View Mortuary located at 2350 Montebello Square Drive. Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 3, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church located on Cascade Avenue across from Penrose Main Hospital. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Literacy Center at Corpus Christi Catholic School.
