I just learned of our loss of Joyce, much love to you Jimmy ,Chris and family.

This is your cousin Helen from Carthage. I am sorry to hear about Joyce's passing and I am in prayer for your sweet family. I wish I could have been there for moral support for the family. However, please know that Wendell, Marsha and I are here for all of you.

Jimmy, Chris, Bern and family - I had some wonderful times with Joyce - and some inspirational times too. I remember working out at Peterson and Jimmy always driving Joyce to work - and yes - waiting until she came out when we were late. This was one of the moments we shared laughter until we couldn't laugh anymore. Joyce went out to the car after work - sat there for a while - no Jimmy. She went looking for him - at the post office - the cleaners - everywhere around there. He wasn't anywhere. She sat there for probably a 1/2 hour - then realized he wasn't there because she drove that day!

Her spirit and inspiration helped me through my cancer. The first day of my chemo was tough. I was scared and uncertain of what to expect. A few moments later Joyce and Jimmy walked in and Joyce held my hand and only like she could - she said "Vik, it's going to be okay" - and I made it through that day. I realized today that the JOY in her name defines her being - she brought JOY to those who knew her and I'm so glad God blessed my life with her. May you all find peace in the memories she's given you.

I was so saddened to hear of Joyce's passing. I grew up with Chris and she was the "Mom" that we all loved. I will remember the Bowman Family in my prayers. May she rest in peace. Jennifer Hill (Fry) (Houston, TX)

Ms. Joyce, you will forever be remembered by me as J-Bo. I can still hear your voice and see that big beautiful smile of yours...or the many memories when we laughed until we cried...a lot of the times not remembering why we were laughing in the first place. You made working seem like an amusement park.

From the hair, to the nails, the bling to the clothes from the mall...you my dear, were my favorite of them all. I will miss you so much, and I love you. The Lord has TRULY blessed us with an Angel for such a short time. But your memory will live with us all forever.

im glad that i got to meet Mrs. Bowman in my life. She was always a very nice and fun person to be with. Im glad that i got to celebrate christmas with her for the very last time. Of course i will never forget her! I love her very much.

I met Mrs. Joyce 17 years ago, she was a beautiful person inside and out. She always managed to put a smile on my face or make me lauph. I have nothing but good memories that our families shared together. I was fortunate enouph to have each one of my children know her. I know she thought I was crazy to have four, but she sure loved getting to hold them. And in return they loved being in her arms, We will miss you Mrs. Joyce every get-together and Holiday won't be the same without you, but dont you worry we will be here for your Jimmy, Chris, Bern, Tre and Espi thats what families are for. I'm at a loss for words
Knowing it may come,
and actually having it come
are two different things.
Its been a tough 4 days, 3 deaths throughout.
My mother always says,
bad things happen in 3's.
Its sad to think about it,
but it has always happened.
I'm going to miss her,
and all the good things,
but she has gone off to better
with no more pain in sight.
I'll remember the good about her
because that is important.
I'll remember her strength,
her will and her smile.

Our hearts are saddened by this tremendous loss. We find comfort in knowing that she is now resting in God's arms and no longer experiencing pain and suffering on this side of Glory. I met the Bowman family back in the early 70's in Anchorage, Ak.. I was very sad to hear of her death, i can remember her smile and laugh, we share many years together, but now she is in a better place with the Lord. So may God continue to bless this family with love....

When I heard Joyce had left us I was sad and then thought of her sitting in heaven in all the glory.
While working with Joyce we had fun and shared many laughs. That is what I will remember. JBo here is to you and when we will laugh together again.

Even though I did not know Joyce well, I do have memories of her that make me smile. I met Joyce through my daughter-in-law Chella. At Brian and Chella's wedding reception she was the life of the party! What a precious memory for you Jimmy. Now she is celebrating with Jesus!

With nothing to reflect on but memories i can only wish to turn back the hands of time and truely cherish each moment we had together as a grandson and grandmother. I love you grandma you will always be in my heart.

In February of 1987 my family and I first met the Bowman Family and our lives have be intertwined ever since. Our hearts are truly sadden when learning of the sunset of Joyce's life. What we do know is that Heaven has welcomed a special angel home. Her smile will now shine brightly as a star for the rest of us to see. Jimmy and Chris we will always keep you and your family in our prayers. God Bless.

My heart is truly torn by the loss of Miss Joyce, after knowing her for 25 years and being a brother to Droop (as she used to say) I have lost a family member. She was a great mother, wife, and a very independant hard working women who will be missed. Thank you for allowing me to stay with you when I needed a place to stay, thank you for raising such a great young man in Chris. Mr. Bowman (Jimmy) has lost his best friend and my heart goes out to everyone who was able to be apart of her life.

Jimmy, Chris (Bern) and family - There are no words to express the pain of this loss. Joyce was and will always be forever dear to me. There has to be comfort in knowing that while we loved her so - God loved her more...He gave us tears because he knew we'd cry - and as my tears weep...

Please know that I am incredibly thankful and most grateful that our paths crossed. Our memories together are far too many and losing her is a great loss. I want to say how sorry I am for your loss. I worked with Joyce at the Peterson AFB office of Ent. She shared one of my funniest memories, when we almost got arrested by the SP's for leaving the broom vault open. I will remember you all in my prayers.
