Joyce Bullard Obituary
Joyce was born on January 5, 1939 in Warren, Ohio to the late Charles and Dorothy (Pohto) Richen . She graduated in 1956 from Warren High School. She married Roger Bullard on October 5, 1957.They raised a family and lived in Hawaii, Oklahoma, Longmont and Lakewood, Colorado.
A friend to all and mentor to many, her encouragement, generosity, and compassion, impacted countless lives. She thrived as a beauty consultant, performing swimmer in Hawaii, and Bed and Breakfast jack-of-all-trades. Whether wearing sparkly outfits, planting gorgeous gardens or hosting elaborate events, she delighted in nurturing people with great food and love. Joyce lived life to the fullest.
She was a volunteer for GI Grannies/Gramps for Soldier Support (GIGSS) at Fort Carson and New Life Church. Joyce was a 4H leader and integral part of the Military Mother Daughter Tea at the YMCA.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Charles and Ronald Richen.
She is survived by her husband, Roger; children, Charles "Chuck" (Debbie) Bullard, Andrea (Keith) Thompson, Laurel Anderson, and Philip (Sheryl) Bullard; sisters, Charlotte (Dr. Allen) Ginsburg; Sally (Dr. Thomas) LaBaugh and Terri (Joseph) Hudek; and her brother, John Richen. Joyce had eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Devoted mother and grandmother, she gave her all to her family.
Memorial Services, 2:00PM, Saturday, February 28, 2015, New Life Church World Prayer Center, 11025 Voyager Parkway, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Private interment services were held at Fort Logan Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.

We met you through the birth of Rylan Robert Bullard. We shared the same Great Grandma, Joyce's, name. What a joyous event!! We had many fun filled visit's and phone calls throughout our years of friendship. You were an amazing great grandma who put in 100 years of a busy life time in your 76 years of helping others. Joyce, I know you will not get this message due to the fact that you are getting too comfortable being at the foot of Christ. I am sure we could here a "Well done, my faithful servant" being pronounced to heaven's audience. But to the family of this dear friend, I want to say thank you for allowing us to know this servant of Christ. She did give her all to the Lord and to the Soldiers of the Fort Carson, Warrior Transition Battalion. She was a GIGSS and a friend to all. Joyce's legacy far surpasses any president or heads of state. She loved and enjoyed being loved. I will miss her shortly, but I know we will be reunited. Joy has come and her name is Joyce. -CH HC
