August 20, 1938 – November 2, 2025

Joyce Elaine Maile, born August 20, 1938, in Jeffers, Minnesota to Gilbert and Viloa Graff. The second of three children She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and faithful disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Proceeded in death by her parents and husbands Allan Schmidt, Lee Benson, and Helmut Maile, Joyce is survived by her siblings, Opal Raven and Dennis Graff, along with her children Allen Schmidt and Cindy Ricks. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Megan, Mallory, A J, Mollie, Nathan, Katie and Jordan along with ten great-grandchildren.
Joyce graduated from Jeffers High School in 1956. She and Allen were married on June 8, 1958. During her career Joyce served as a high school administrative assistant at Brentwood High School, and as a bookkeeper for the computer software company, CIBAR.
Joyce was a faithful member of Village Seven Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs. She lived a life of joy and faith.
