Joyce was my aunt, sister to my mother Helen, I believe the last time we saw her was 2001 at my mothers funeral service in Greenfield, IA! Joyce and Carrol were married at The Little Brown Church, Nashua, IA then 6 yrs later my wife and I were married at The Little Brown Church, both marriages are still together(Joyce left early)! We have many family memories with our two families! Carrol will continue to golf in AZ and Cheryl and I are retired in Central Virginia!

It's been many years but I remember when the Raygor family lived in Black Forest! Sending prayers and love to the family!

I worked with Joyce at Longfellow for many years and we all knew Joyce to be a caring and devoted member of the staff. It was not unusual for the kids to slip up and call her “Mom” as that’s how she treated each and every child who came into the Office. Beyond school we spent many happy times together. Your kindness, smile and positive spirit will be missed.

Mrs. Raygor was a wonderful part of Longfellow School during my children's growing up years. The kids were somehow safer and better educated because she was there.

Joyce took an active interest in her children and with whom they hang out with. If you were genuine and had her daughters best interests in mind you would be lucky enough to be on her good side.
I always enjoyed having a generic beer with Carol at the dinning room table and getting beat in horse by Joyce in the backyard. Later in life, I would see Joyce and she would always go back to a memory of one of many nights at the Raygor's. Kris and I were upstairs doing our homework while Joyce and Carol were downstairs watching TV. Kris and I verbally spared much like I always would with Joyce. I had said something I was sure was going to get a dramatic reaction from Kris and escaped to the basement while only using one or two steps. These were some of the best of times. Thank you Joyce!

Joyce and Carrol we love you both and will miss Joyce immensely. I look all around and see her. All the beautiful things she made and gave me. Stan said I shouldn't have taken so much, but now I'm glad I did. So many fond memories of the four of us the last few years. So glad we were part of her life. You're not off the hook though we still expect cards every week as soon as we can. Take care Carrol. You are a great friend! Stan and Ann

I want to thank Carrol and family for sharing Joyce with me over the past few years. I met her at the Sun City Clay Club several years ago and quickly became her friend. Joyce shared so many wonderful stories of your family with me. It’s like I knew you all. I miss her wonderful face sitting across from me while we played in the mud. You are all in my thoughts every day. Rest now beautiful lady. We will see you again one day.
