Juan Aguilar Obituary

Juan "Lou" M. Aguilar, 74, of Colorado Springs, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2005. He was born December 27, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to Pablo Aguilar and Taressa Guzman. He grew up and attended schools in the Chicago area. Known by his friends as "Lou," he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country during both Vietnam and Korean Conflicts. Serving honorably for over 23 years, he retired in 1970. Following his retirement, Lou worked at Ace True Value while attending college. He went on to work for Digital as a second career and retired in 1987. Lou married Jean Ravenscroft in June of 1953; the couple celebrated 29 years of marriage. Lou was an avid fisherman and dart enthusiast. He will be missed by his family and friends. Survivors include two sons: Glenn (wife, Lydia) and Brian (wife, Angela); four daughters: Stephanie Bell (husband, Bill), Kim Dixon, Terry Ann Lafayette and Karen Rouse (husband, Tracy); two brothers: Jerry and Hank Aguilar; one sister, Eleanor; and 14 grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Joe; one sister, Sally; and infant twin daughters. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2005 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home. Funeral services with full military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2005 at the Shrine of Private inurnment will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.

My Wife and I are both very sorry to have lost such a very good friendof many years standing. We both wish to express ouy very real sorrow, and send our dearest sympathy to all Lou!s family, God bless you Lou we shall all miss you, all our love, Ian and Dorothy.
