Juanita Keffer Obituary

Juanita Bragg Keffer passed away December 9th, 2005 at home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was 85 years old. Juanita, known to family and friends as Ploo or Granny Ploo, was born in Hinton, West Virginia to Homer F. and Pearl Bragg. She was the third of four girls. After graduating from Hinton High she married Robert Taylor Keffer, her husband of 46 years, who preceded her in death. They resided in Hinton, WV later moving to Huntington and then to Ravenswood, WV where they retired. Juanita moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1998 to be closer to her daughter and family. Juanita was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters Pauline Criddle (Huntington, WV) and Maycle Meador (Akron, OH) Juanita is survived by her daughter, Peggy Kelley; son-in-law, David Kelley; grandchildren: Rob Kelley (Colorado Springs, CO), Rick Kelley (Garland, TX), Kim Woolford (Parker, CO); and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her youngest sister, Francis Lanham (Scott Depot, WV). Ploo will be greatly missed by her family and many friends who she held dear. A Memorial Service is planned for December 14, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at Sunrise United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs, CO.
