Judith Schrader Arends, age 74, lost her battle with leukemia Saturday, September 7th, 2024. She was a warrior and fought with all her might until the end. She was born on a farm March 31, 1950 in Easton, Minnesota, the daughter of Lawrence and Ramona Schrader. Judy went on to earn a bachelor's degree at Mankato State University where she met her husband of 37 years, John Arends. She worked for many years as an interior decorator before teaming up with John in real estate at Re/Max properties in Colorado Springs. Judy always found comfort through her steadfast faith in the Lord. She had a love for golf, cooking, decorating, and pilates. She was always up for an adventure in travel and frequently included her beloved family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter Heather Kunce, (David Hajek), granddaughters, Vanessa Arends, Sierra Thomas, (Joseph), Haley Kunce, son in-law Justin Kanop, and siblings James Schrader (Diana), Jonelle Quentin (Trevor), Joyce Martin (David) and Jackie Voigt (Bryon).
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband John, daughters Gretchen and Tiffany.
A Celebration of Life will be held November 2nd, 2024 from 1PM - 4PM at Pinery at the Hill, 775 W. Bijou St, Colorado Springs, CO 80905.

I remember Judy, I worked at Ruby Begonias Salon and she helped make our salon beautiful! She was good friends with Donna our salon owner! Great memories!

Very saddened to hear of Judy's passing. She was a wonderful woman of whom I had the honor of working with at RE/MAX Properties, as well as with her late husband, John. Always an optimist and had an engaging personality. Everyone loved her. Judy will be missed, however, comfort knowing she will be on the other side to greet her family and us. Sincerest condolences to the family.

Judy and I became really good friends when she came to Delavan High School for her senior year. Sort of lost contact until the first of your family heartbreaks. Since then we reconnected and have lots of good phone visits to catch up. You have my sympathy and have been in my prayers.
