David Bogart Obituary
David W., 94, a lifelong resident of Newport, KY, passed away on March 18, 2012 at Highlandsprings of Ft. Thomas. After 37 years of service, he retired as a Shipping Clerk with Heekin Can Co. Cincinnati, OH. He was a former member of the Newport Recreation Commission, worked as a Campbell County Probation and Juvenile officer and was a member of the Youth Advisory Council. He served as a deputy sheriff and was a lifetime member of Fraternal Order of Police Newport Lodge #2. David was elected to Newport City Commission for three terms spending two years as Vice Mayor for the City of Newport. David is a member of the Northern KY Sports Hall of Fame. He was a member of the Loyal Boosters Club and he was a Kentucky Colonel. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Marcella Bogart, June 29, 1997. David is survived by his Son, David E, Bogart of Wilder, KY. Visitation 10:00 am to 11:00 am with Funeral Services at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Dobbling, Muehlenkamp - Erschell Funeral Home, 835 York Street, Newport, KY. Burial will take place in the St. Stephen Cemetery Fort Thomas, Kentucky. Online condolences can be given at www.dmefuneral.com .
