Judith Doukas Obituary

Judith A. Doukas, age 74, a resident of Colorado Springs for 25 years, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at her home. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Judith Abboud was born on August 17, 1939 in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Joseph and Josephine Abboud. She attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and received her Master's Degree from the University of Michigan. She worked as a Lab Chief for the Department of the Army.

Judith married James W. Doukas on December 27, 1989 in Omaha, Nebraska.

Judith was an avid golfer, and was a member of the Eisenhower Women's Golf Association.

She is survived by her husband, James Doukas; her children: Melissa Doukas and Dr. William Doukas; and four grandchildren: Jim, Nicki, Zack, and Phebe. She is also survived by her brothers: David Abboud, Michael Abboud, and John Abboud; and a sister: Mary Jane Abboud.

Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2650 Parish View.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Cancer Society of the donor's choice.

Jim, I just found out about Judy late last week. Adam, Angie, and I are so very sorry for your loss. I know you will miss her terribly. I will miss her laughter most of all.
