Judith A. Harrison, lifelong resident of Joliet, age 71, passed away peacefully at Lightways Hospice after a brief illness. She was born to her parents Edwin and Lottie (nee Pantol) Sokolowski on October 8, 1953.
Judy was a graduate of Plainfield High School and retired as a longtime valued employee from AT&T. She loved to spend time with her family, whether gathering together for a meal or trying their luck at the casinos with her sister and cousins. Her role as an aunt was her greatest joy!
She was preceded in death by her husband David Harrison, her parents Edwin Sokolowski and Lottie (nee Pantol) Matile, her brother Edwin Sokolowski, and her stepfather Richard Matile.
She is survived by her sister Joyce (the late Edwin) Holden, niece Melissa (Adam) Singer, nephew Todd Holden, great nieces Mackenzie and Devin Singer, great nephews Bryce and Blake Holden, step-siblings Connie (Darren) Hoffman, Wayne Matile, James Matile, as well as the extended Harrison family. Her special Uncle Gene Lilek and her many beloved cousins, especially the lunch crew whom she loved so much, also survive.
Judy will be truly missed by all and, per her request, cremation rites have been accorded. Special thanks to Lightways Hospice for their compassionate care.
