Judith Mayer McIntire, a native of Colorado Springs, died on September 27, 2024. She was born on September 5, 1942, to Arthur S. and Alice J. Mayer.
She graduated from St. Mary's High School and received a BA from Loretto Heights College in Denver.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
A homemaker, wife and mother, she also worked for and retired from Colorado Springs School District 11, where she served as an administrative specialist in the Communications Office. She volunteered at Holy Trinity Church, the Pikes Peak Library District and School District 11.
She is survived by Terry, her husband of 60 years; son, Tim (Jeniphir) of Melrose, Massachusetts; daughter, Norah (Develyn) of West Hollywood, California; brother, Tim Mayer (Janice) of Monument, Colorado; brother-in-law, Randy McIntire (Diane), California; grandsons, Jude and Camden McIntire; granddaughter, Ivy McIntire; and nephews, Nick Mayer (Kjar) and Sean Mayer (Chelsea).
A rosary will be said at Holy Trinity Church, 3122 Poinsetta Drive, at 10:30 a.m. on October 22, 2024, with a funeral Mass following at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, checks may be sent to Mater Filius, 8773 Scarborough Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80821 or the Pikes Peak Library District Foundation, P.O. Box 1579, Colorado Springs, CO, 80901-1579.

Judy was the keeper of knowledge for so many things in District 11. I cherished her for her work with PTA's Crystal Apple Award Committee for many, many years. Judy was a treasured supporter of the School Board during my time of service. She and Terry were a great pair! I never met the rest of the family, but if they are anything like Judy and Terry, they will support each other well in this sad time. Peace to all.

I will love you forever Judy! My friend and mentor, who was always there for me. I know you went straight into the arms of Jesus. I cannot wait to see you again so that we can finally settle the existence of Purgatory:) I will truly miss you. Prayers to Terry, Tim and Norah. I am sorry you are having to travel the journey of grief. Judy will forever remain in my heart.

What a pleasure it was to work with Judy in the Sups office many years ago.
She was a pulse of D11.

Mrs McIntire was such a gentle & caring soul. I remember calling her after I got home East to make sure Tim had gotten home safely. Prayers of comfort and healing as this journey of grief begins. Love you all.
