JUDY KAY FRIESTH
August 29, 1946 January 20, 2021
Judy Kay Friesth, age 74, passed away January 20, 2021 due to acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
She was born on August 29, 1946 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to the late Kenneth Jay Norris and Marjorie (Clayton) Norris. Judy had three siblings, Jayne (Doug) Worthington (deceased), Vicki (Frank) Anselmo and Kenneth Jay (Jill) Norris, Jr.
She was employed in a thirty year teaching career in the Widefield School District (opening both Janitell Junior High and Mesa Ridge High Schools) where she taught english and yearbook.
Judy will now join her father, Kenneth Jay Norris; her mother, Marjorie (Clayton) Norris; her stepfather, Robert Clayton; sister, Jayne Worthington; nephew, Anthony Anselmo; and grandson, Jack Friesth.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Friesth; two children, Lori (Rob) O'Blennis and Eric (Krystal) Friesth; grandchildren, Xavier O'Blennis, Ashlyn Friesth, and Gustav O' Blennis; and siblings, Vicki Anselmo and Kenneth Jay Norris, Jr.
A private service is being arranged by the family, which due to COVID-19 regulations will be by invite only.

During the last day of my career in WSD#3 (which was a sad one as my wife was terminally ill)there was a goodbye ceremony for all those retiring or leaving-I, sadly, attended, then wanted nothing more than to leave quietly and be at my wife's side. As I walked out, nearly forgotten, one person followed me out to wish me well and say goodbye--It was Judy--with that a quiet but poignant well wishing. Often the tiniest kindness can make a big difference.
