Julia Helen Kelly was born to Charles and Helen Kelly at their family home in Eastport, Maryland on January 08, 1922.

At the age of 19 she married George Warfield McBride, a native of Boonsboro, Maryland. She was his devoted wife until he passed away in 1998 at their final home in Colorado Springs.

She has four grandchildren: Tammy Alverson, currently residing in Colorado, George McBride IV, currently residing in Oregon, Katelynn Kelly McBride and John McBride Junior, both of Colorado.

She has 2 great-grandchildren: Trevor and Alexa Alverson, both residents of Colorado.

Julia is survived by three siblings: Elaine Jackson from Annapolis, John "Sonny" Hughes of Florida and Hazel Kinnamon of Annapolis, Md.

On August 22, 2014, Julia died quietly in her home in her sleep of a natural death. She was a committed Christian and attended Hilltop Baptist Church. She enjoyed her church friends and her family.

As a young woman, brought up in Maryland, she enjoyed swimming and "board" walking on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. In her youth she was a proud banjo player. She always enjoyed music; Elvis Presley when she was young; Andre Rieu in her later years. Her favorite move was Gone with the Wind.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Hilltop Baptist Church in October.
