"JUDY" STROTHER

Julia Ann "Judy" Strother, a longtime Colorado resident, passed away January 5, 2019.
She was born on January 31, 1939 to General Dean Coldwell, USAF, (Ret.) and Julia Louise Strother in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
Judy graduated from Stephens College and University of Maryland with degrees in fine art and education. She taught middle school in the Washington DC area and worked in finance in Colorado Springs until her retirement.
Judy was a member of the Colorado Springs Country Club and the Broadmoor Golf Club. She enjoyed golf, gardening, reading, fishing and bridge and traveled the world extensively.
She is survived by her beloved cats, Annie Bell and Gabriel; and her dear friend, Shirley Englehorn.
Celebration of Life, 4:00PM, Tuesday, January 15, 2019, The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Judy's memory to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region.

I met Judy at the Colorado Springs Bridge Center about two years ago. What a delightful person! She always had a big smile on her face. Just by her demeanor and great outgoing personality, she must have had a wonderful life, carrying out every one of her dreams.
