Juliann Glanz Obituary

Juliann "Julie" Glanz, passed away December 19, 2006 after a two year battle with myxoid liposarcoma. She was born in Windsor Ontario Canada On November 28, 1954. She leaves behind her partner of 25 years, Jackie Maddalena; her sister, Lynne; brother-in-law, Mark; nephew, Kevin; the late nephew, Scott Flanigan (MI); dachshund, Rikki; and numerous friends. She became a US Citizen and joined the army arriving at Ft. Carson January 1, 1977. Education was very important to Julie. After receiving her dental hygiene degree, she went on for her bachelor's in Health Care Management. She worked in the dental field for 32 years, the last 20 as a registered dental hygienist. She loved life, good food, good wine, travel, golf, reading and an occasional trip up the hill to Cripple Creek; but most especially, socializing with her friends. Thanks to all our friends who provided comfort, food and encouragement over the past two years. In lieu of flowers, Julie would have liked any contributions to go to the Diana Price-Fish Foundation, PO Box 22919, Denver, CO 80222-0919 who provides monthly reimbursement for entertainment activities to Coloradoans actively going through cancer treatment. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, December 22, 2:00 p.m. at First Congregational Church-United Church of Christ, 20 E. St. Vrain.

Julie was a very well respected co-worker from the office of Dr. Jack Dunn. I was the dental assistant and Julie's sunny disposition always got us through the work day. Sorry we never got that chance to have red wine in the hot tub up in Crystal Park. I will truly miss you, your sense of humor, and that gorgeous smile.
Sincerely,
Vikki Webster

Julie, your cheerful kindness and pure joy in life brought pleasure to all who knew you. You always made others feel important by taking a sincere interest in them, by really listening and caring. We count ourselves lucky to have been blessed with your friendship. Now, we grieve with Jackie and the rest of your family and friends. Julie, you will live forever in the hearts of all the people whose lives you enriched.

This world lost one of its best last week: you, Julie Glanz.
You always were the real giver. You gave love, laughs, smiles, tenderness, thoughtfulness, confidence, but you never asked for anything in return. What strength that took.
In your new life, you've undoubtedly made others laugh already. You've made them work harder at their golf game, too.
To Jackie, our love and thoughts.

Of all the things this life provides to make us happy, the greatest and most cherished is a frind, one who reaches for your hand, and touches not only your heart but your soul. The kindness in your eyes and the acceptance in your heart, no matter who you met, makes you that unique and very rare gift to all who were blessed enough to have you in there lives.Although nature tells us that nothing really dies that is not born again, this world suffered a great loss in the physical being. You were a masterpiece of nature and are missed very deeply. With all my love debi

Julie:
All during your fight against cancer you were a supportive e-mail pal, helping me greatly with my own loss. I look for comfort in the law of nature that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, only transformed. Your positive energy will always be there in the universe, and I'll continue to communicate with you.
