June Briggs Obituary

June was born in Aurora, IL to Ralph & Gertrude Meacham. She settled in Colorado Springs in 1953 after marrying Frank (Ron) Briggs. She was a homemaker and mother to Tom (Susie), Kenn (Lori), Sally (Jody) & Randy (Katie). She was an active volunteer in the community for the YMCA, Olympic Training Center, and Friends of the Library as well as a part time student at UCCS. Her passion was her grandchildren, Emily, Preston, Luke, Kellen, Elliott, Julia, Henry, Jack, and Sofia. She was an avid fan of all their activities and was best known as "Hockey Grammy". She left this world on November 1, 2011 and stepped into life eternal with her Lord. In addition to her children, spouses, and grandchildren, she is survived by her brother, Jac Meacham. Her family and friends were blessed by her thoughtfulness and generosity. With gratitude and love, we will miss her and always hold her close in our hearts. A private gathering was held by the family to remember and celebrate June's life. In lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully accepted for Friends of the Pikes Peak Library District.
