Justin J. Betts, age 34, passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 10, 2017, in Chicago, IL after a short battle with cancer.
He was born March 11, 1983, in Seymour, TX. He was a 2001 graduate of Throckmoron High School, 2011 graduate of Ashford University with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government, and was enrolled in Northern Illinois University's MBA program at the time of his passing.
Justin married Wendy Schuschke in 2004, in Colorado Springs, CO. Additionally, in 2004 he joined the United States Air Force, and achieved the rank of Master Sergeant in 2016 displaying a knack for solving problems and assisting others in achieving their goals.
Justin truly lived life to the fullest, and was known as a foodie, adventurer, and an avid Star Wars and Doctor Who fan. Justin had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.
He is preceded in death by his father Jessie Thomas "Tommy" Betts and is survived by his wife Wendy, his mother Kathrine Betts, a sister Jan (Kevin) Pritchard, and two brothers Jason (Bobbi) Betts and Jessie (Paige) Betts.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Justin touched are invited to Memorial Gardens Cemetery & Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910 to celebrate Justin's life with a grave side service, inurnment, and reception to follow. Services will take place Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., to reminisce, grieve, and support one another. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Justin's name to K9s for Warriors through their website https://www.k9sforwarriors.org.
