Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many was born 14 December 1940 and passed away 8 February 2022 in the Legend Care Facility.

Kari was born as the only child to Hjordis Bergljot Jorgensen and Gunnar Reppe in Trondheim, Sor-Trondelag Norway. She is survived by her loving grandson Max Gunnar Mirk age 20, and daughter-in-law Cathy Colt Mirk. Her husband Michael C. Mirk Jr. and her two sons Michael Carl Mirk III and David Gunnar Mirk have all preceded her in death.

Kari completed nursing school in Norway and then moved to Salt Lake City Utah where she was a Registered Nurse at the Children's Hospital there. She later became an International Flight Attendant for Pan American Airlines. She moved to United Airlines in 1986 before Pan American went out of business in 1991. She was based out of the San Francisco Airport.

She lived in Sunnyvale California until she moved to Colorado in 2005, purchasing a home in the Black Forest that she lost and had to rebuild after the Black Forest fire of 2013. She was a long time member of the Black Forest Homemakers and a brilliant dominoes player.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, February 18, 2022 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (6950 Shoup Rd, Blackforest.)
