Karl Halterman, Sr. Obituary

MSG. Karl R Halterman, Sr. (Ret.) was born on July 28, 1956 in Augsburg, Germany and passed away on May 17, 2009. He was a long time resident of Colorado Springs. He retired from the United States Army 10th Special Forces Group after 21 years of distinguished service. He was honored and proud to have served his country. After retiring he worked briefly as a Real Estate Agent and a Deputy Sheriff with El Paso County. He was employed as a Functional Analyst and Security Consultant with CIAS. He graduated in 2004 from Colorado Technical University with a Double Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude, with a Concentration in Project Management and a Concentration in Logistics and Supply Management. He was married to JoAnn D. Halterman (Martinez) on August 3, 1996. He was preceded in death by his father Harry W. Halterman, Jr. He is survived by his mother Marcia Hoag Halterman; his brother Harry W. Halterman, III; his sister M. Katherine Kennedy; his wife JoAnn Halterman; his sons Karl R Halterman, Jr. and Steven Halterman; his daughters Marshawn Nenning, Jenna Jones and Anita Halterman; and his grandchildren Gavin, Emily, Madilynn and Christa. Karl was a generous, intelligent and loving man and he will be greatly missed. Love You Lots, Love You More! Services with Military Honors were held Friday, May 22, 2009, at Soldiers Memorial Chapel on Fort Carson and followed by a Celebration of Life Gathering at Knights of Columbus Hall in Security.
