Karl Lucas Obituary

Karl E. Lucas, 53, died on May 18, 2014 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Karl was born in Anchorage, Alaska on September 25, 1960. Karl, better known as "Luke", was a Retired First Sergeant in the United States Army.

After his military career, Luke was instrumental in setting up the Colorado Springs Police Department Air Support Unit, to include the acquisition of two OH-58 Bell Helicopters from the Air Calvary Unit in Ft. Hood, Texas in 1995. He was currently working for Med-Trans Corp. as Western Regional Maintenance Manager.

Luke was an avid biker and entrepreneur. He also enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and boating. He was a loving father, brother, son, friend, and grandfather. He will be loved and missed dearly.

Luke is survived by his four daughters, Jennifer May, Stephanie Lucas, Jessica Lucas, and Emma Lucas; one grandson, Luke Estep; and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service, 11:00AM, Saturday, May 24, 2014, The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80909.
