I was completely shocked about this news.

I only met Kate once and all I can remember is that beautiful and peaceful smile.

Dear Gail, Mark, Dan, and Casey,
I was heartsick to hear of Kate's passing. She was one of my favorite students I taught in my 30 year teaching career. I cannot even imagine how difficult this is for your family. I have so many memories of her courage and perseverance during her 4 years at AAHS. A light has gone out in all of our lives. My heartfelt sympathy to you all.
