Katherine Adeliada Merrick
December 14, 1933 October 19, 2017
Katherine Adeliada Merrick passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 19, 2017 at the age of 83. Kathy was born on December 14, 1933 in Fullerton, Nebraska, the youngest of ten children. She began her teaching career at the age of 17 and taught for 47 years, including 19 years in Lewis-Palmer School District. Her love for life, never wanting to miss out on any fun, and enduring 61-year partnership with Jerry will be deeply missed. Kathy is survived by her husband Jerome Merrick, of Palmer Lake, Colorado, her four children Adel, Kyle, Susan, Colleen and 7 grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held at her home parish, St. Peter Catholic Church, in Monument, Colorado on Saturday, October 28th at 10:00 a.m. with reception to follow.
