Kathie Redman, of Monument, CO, passed away peacefully with her husband and her sisters at her bedside, in Colorado Springs, CO, on November 6, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. Kathie was born in Bunn, North Carolina, on April 28, 1950, to Marshall and Blonnie Stallings. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, William Andrew Redman Jr, her two sons William III (Katie), and Joel, and her grandson Liam. She is also survived by her sisters Frances Duvall of Zebulon, North Carolina, Brenda Byrd of Pink Hill, North Carolina, and Sherry (John) Collier of Raleigh, North Carolina. Kathie had many nieces and nephews that held a special place in her heart.
Kathie grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, graduating from Millbrook High School. She attended North Carolina State University before settling in Colorado Springs. She finished her education at UCCS in Colorado Springs, and eventually worked in the executive office for Current, Inc. She loved watching her two boys play sports while growing up, watching any basketball game with North Carolina or Duke, watching college football with Andy on Saturdays, and her family vacations on the North Carolina coast with her family, and with her sisters and their families.
She developed many new friendships with all the nurses at Presbyterian/St Lukes Hospital and Colorado Blood Cancer Institute in Denver.
A celebration of Kathie's life is planned for November 26th, 1:00PM at Spruce Mountain Ranch near Larkspur, CO.
In lieu of flowers, the Redman family asks Kathie's friends to consider a donation to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
