Kathleen Jane Cleary, beloved wife, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on October 4, 2024, just one day after her 54th birthday. Born on October 3, 1970, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Katie moved to Colorado Springs in 1976, where she began her educational journey and eventually graduated from Air Academy High School in 1989.
Katie continued her education at Arizona State University and later at Colorado State University. She later moved to Copper Mountain, where she met her husband, Kevin. As a self-employed nail technician, Katie thrived in her work, cherishing the friendships she formed with clients and co-workers alike.
A true enthusiast of life, Katie had a passion for tennis and golf and loved spending time with her friends and family. She was also a dedicated supporter of animal rescue, demonstrating her compassion and love for all living beings.
In February 2024, Katie was diagnosed with cancer. Despite undergoing treatment, she succumbed to its effects on October 4, 2024. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and love that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Katie was preceded in death by her father, Harry, who she missed every day. She is survived by her husband, Kevin, son of Sue and Frank Cleary, mother, Debbie, sister Tracie, and countless family members and friends who will miss her deeply.
