Kathleen Holzhauer Obituary

Kathleen M. "Kathy" Holzhauer, 86, of Pueblo West, Colo., passed away Sept. 12, 2015.

Survived by her daughters, Mary (Larry) Bohlander of Pueblo West; Cheryl (Ricardo) Arredondo of Houston, Texas; Lori (Joseph) Kennedy of Aurora, Colo.; grandchildren, Tracey (Stevan) Sanchez of Phoenix, Ariz., Phillip (Stephanie) Staab of Parker, Colo.; great-grandchildren Phillip "PJ" Staab, Jr. and Benjamin Staab; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by her husband, Ray Holzhauer; and brother, Arthur "Bud" Schmidt. Kathy was born Nov. 19, 1928, in Fairmont, Minn. to George and Hilda Schmidt.

She was a retired bookkeeper for several different businesses. She loved to cook and anything that had to do with her family.

Former member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Pueblo West, Peace With Christ in Fort Collins, Hope Lutheran Church in Westcliffe and currently Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Colorado Springs. Kathy loved to sing and directed the choir when Our Savior's Lutheran Church was first founded. She also enjoyed reading and traveling.

Memorial service, 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel, in Pueblo. Private interment, Hope Lutheran Cemetery in Westcliffe, Colo.
