Kathleen Savidge Obituary

Kathleen Jo Marie (Burley) Savidge, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on December 12, 2016 in Colorado Springs, CO. She was born in Detroit, MI, November 28, 1952.

Kathleen married her high school sweetheart Ron Savidge on May 29, 1971. From that day their adventure together began. After having four children, they took a chance and moved to Colorado in 1982 and settled their roots. While raising and caring for her children and husband, Kathleen got her degree as a Registered Nurse and worked endless hours at Memorial Hospital. She then took her love for caring and started her own elderly care service. It wasn't for some years later that she found her true passion and love working for Great Lakes Aviation and United Airlines. Kathleen was a fighter beyond measures. Whatever she put her mind to, she accomplished it.

Kathleen was diagnosed with Scleroderma (autoimmune rheumatic disease) and was told she wouldn't live past six months after being diagnosed, well twenty years later she had proven them wrong. Kathleen struggled with this disease often but found comfort in her faith and her Savior Jesus Christ. Kathleen fought a good fight and lived everyday as if it was her last; she let nothing or no one get in her way. She believed so passionately in her faith that she began spreading God's word to everyone, even if they didn't want to hear it. She has brought so many of us to Christ and she loved doing so. The most joy she has had in her life was the undying love for her husband Ron Savidge of 45 years, her children Christopher(Amy), Rachelle(David), Jason(Theresa), and Justin(Kala), but her whole heart went to her eleven grandchildren, Theodore, Taylor, Chloe, Elizabeth, Benjamin, Caleb, Megan, Thomas, Amira, Koa and Madeline.

Kathleen was loved by so many people including siblings, extended family and wonderful friends. Her life may have been short but she lived it to the fullest and cherished every moment of it. Her family loves her and she will be missed but she is in a heavenly place, living healthy and pain free.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Monday, December 19, 2016 at 4:00pm. At Mountain View Funeral Home, 2350 Montebello Square Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80918

I married OC (Orlando Campagiorni) who was one of the groomsmen in Kath & Ron's wedding. We always looked forward to the Christmas cards & letters from Kath, always hand written and this years will be a treasure to us. I was only able to meet her a few times when they were here visiting in Michigan, but kept up a bit on her FB. She was wonderful woman of God and will be greatly missed, but I know she's dancing with Jesus. Praying for peace and comfort for all who knew and loved her. SaraBeth Campagiorni
