Kathryn Stoughton Obituary

Stoughton
Kathryn Ann (Lynne) Stoughton
January 2, 1947
February 3, 2025

Kathy was born in St. Louis, MO to Bill and Mary Lynne (Ballard) and passed away peacefully in Colorado Springs 78 years later.
She graduated from Berkeley High School in Berkeley, MO and went on to have a rewarding career as an office manager and administrative assistant to upper-level management at the UNOCAL Corporation in Schaumburg, IL and Costa Mesa, CA.
It was in Schaumburg that she met Steve. They fell in love, got married, blended their families and had a wonderful forty-two years together. They lived in Schaumburg, IL, Placentia, CA and Cary, NC before moving to Colorado Springs in 2017 to be closer to family. Kathy loved to live in different places and set up a new home and welcome family members and friends from across the country.
Those mourning her include her husband, Steve, their three sons David Watson (Jennifer), Alan Stoughton (Laurel), Grant Stoughton (Gina) and granddaughters Eve Watson, Olivia Watson and Griffin Stoughton. Also, her sister Susan Hatton, brother Bill Lynne (Debra) and sister Elizabeth O'Connor (Tim). As well as dear friend Sandra Lazore (Joe) and anyone else who knew Kathy. She was one of a kind.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Timothy Murphy and his staff at Rocky Mountain Cancer Center and also to Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care at Penrose Hospital.
