Katie Ihnfeldt Obituary

Katie Arlene Webb Ihnfeldt, 86, passed away in her home on August 30, 2008. Arlene was born July 23, 1922 to William T. Webb and Lulu Wilson Webb in Ralls Texas. She was affectionately nicknamed, "Suzy". She is preceded in death by her brother, Dean Webb of Bakersfield, CA and sister, Isla Webb Robertson of Comanche, TX. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Fritz; son, Ron and his wife, Mary; grandchildren, Robin of San Diego, CA and Scott who is in the US Naval Base in Maryland; many other loving family and friends. On May 30, 1942, Arlene married Fritz Ihnfeldt and they lived near Ralls, TX where Ron was born. Arlene and Fritz moved to Security, CO in 1965 where she worked at Hibbard's Department Store, a local variety store and operated her own sewing and tailoring business from home for several years. One of her most memorable clients was Johnny Cash who visited the home for fittings. Suzy was an excellent seamstress and artist and took pride in her work. One of her best items was a needlepoint of the family heritage. There will be a viewing on Friday, September 6th from 3-5pm at Dove-Witt Fountain Valley Chapel, 6630 S. Hwy 85/87, Fountain, CO. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 6th , 2pm at Dove-Witt Fountain Valley Chapel. Private family interment.
