Kayleb Harp Obituary

Kayleb Richard Lee Harp was born October 26, 1991 in Flint, Michigan to Brian and Tawnia Harp. He died on November 25, 2015 at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Kayleb loved being a medic at Ft. Hood for the past three and a half years. As a medic he finally found his passion, he struggled in college not quite knowing which path to take but once he enlisted in the U.S. Army he was absolutely in love with being a medic.  He served honorably at Ft. Hood, Texas his whole tour and planned on returning to Colorado Springs when he completed his commitment in June 2016 to pursue his nursing degree. 

As a military child he served alongside his dad for over twenty years of his life, living in multiple cities along the way, but Kayleb always claimed Fairbanks, Alaska as his hometown. 

He loved snowboarding, football, soccer, & wrestling. He was a man with many hobbies and interests, he loved reading the classics and classic poets, listening to music, he was a history buff, enjoyed cooking and loved cars.

His latest hobby was motorcycles, he had done the Sturgis trip with his Dad and they were in the process of planning their next trip.

Kayleb had a big heart and took care of everyone, he adored his family and was a loyal friend.

He is survived by his parents, Brian & Tawnia Harp; his sister, Katarina L. Harp, paternal grandparents, Carol & Richard Harp and maternal grandfather Lee Mathews; uncles, Tim Bruce, Terry Bruce, Tony Bruce, Steve Mathews, Jon Mathews, Mike Mathews; aunts, Tammy Bruce & Tammy Harp.

He was preceded in death by, grandparents, Gertrude Mathews & Don Bruce.

Visitation, 4:00PM-8:00PM, Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue.
