Many years ago I owned a small stationary shop in NYC. One day a beautiful and strong woman sat down across the desk from me and slid across some photos of a statue. She asked if we could engrave the image and create stationary. There was nothing unusual about this request until the young woman told me without hesitation or emotion that she had cancer and wanted this stationery to write many final letters. We spoke many times over many years during the project and after. So many years later I am still moved by Kellie´s strength and calm. For all of you who knew Kellie better than I did...you are blessed as I am aware of what a special person she is.

Kellie was such a dear, sweet, loyal, amazing friend. I cannot believe she has passed and did not know of her struggle with lung cancer. What a beautiful person and friend!!! We are all so blessed to have had her in our lives! Christina Kraemer Dinegar

Connie and Kendra,
So very sorry for your loss of precious Kellie. So many fond memories when I was younger of our family events and fabulous times with each memory spent. Kellie is in my heart with her radiant smile and I know she is next to our beloved Jesus.

I met Kellie at the "Fifth avenue Presbyterian Church" in New York City and my best to her family. I lost a good friend and I'll always remember an Art Show in Central Park where we spent an afternoon taking in a "reality" exhibit of covered nature and enjoy the photos we took that day. I shall miss you.

Kellie was a fantastic person and friend. When our last class reunion was held it was great to get to sit and talk with Kellie. To hear of the travels, business adventures she put her heart into, it was definitely so inspiring. Thank you Kellie for showing us how to live each day with God´s Grace.

Blessed is the person who is able to say they knew Kellie Carey and even more so, those of us who were her friend! I met Kellie at the beginning of her experimental cancer treatment that brought her to Boston each month. We became instant friends as her sparkling eyes peeked into my shop at the hotel (after closing) and softly asked "are you open?". The rest is history!
It defies any logic as I remember the graceful way that she approached her obstacles. It was the combination of her deep and never-ending faith and her sense of humor that amazed me month after month. Kellie's outward beauty was pale in comparison to her inner beauty. We spent hours walking the beach, exploring the shops of Charles Street and, of course, finishing off the day with a great meal at Scampo!
The life lessons that Kellie taught me will stay with me forever: finding the joy in each day, compassion for others and living a life of example.
