Kendall Francisco Obituary

Kendall Wade Francisco, age 20, died unexpectedly from complications of cancer, despite his determination to meet each day with hope and strength. While receiving treatment, he intentionally connected with each visitor, doctor, nurse, CNA, or housekeeper - expressing gratitude, kindness and often humor. We are so grateful to know that he touched so many people even during brief encounters.

A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, November 23, at 1 PM at Beth-El Mennonite Church, 4625 Ranch Dr, Colorado Springs.

Kendall was a student at Boise State University, where he was majoring in International Business and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He graduated from William J. Palmer High School in 2012 and enjoyed four years on the wrestling team. Kendall was known for his infectious smile, big bear hugs, and his warmheartedness. He loved snowboarding, wake boarding, scuba diving, boating, his Subi, and spending time with large groups of friends and family.

Surviving Kendall are his parents, Tim and Kari Francisco, his brother Shaun, his maternal grandmother, Dot Spuhler, and paternal grandparents Bob and Shirley Francisco. He is also survived by 9 aunts and uncles, eight cousins and their spouses and children, who always delighted Kendall.

In lieu of flowers we ask that you donate to the following:

We are touched that this fraternity is honoring Kendall with a "Man of the Year" award to be given to the fraternity brother with the qualities Kendall possessed, and so many of his brothers wanted to emulate; such as genuineness, optimism, courage, fun-loving spirit, and outgoing nature.

Palmer High School Wrestling, 301 N Nevada Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. Proceeds will go toward a wrestler award in Kendall's honor and provide for wrestling camp scholarships and equipment expenses. We are deeply moved with the new team singlets ordered with initials KF on the outer leg.

May you always remember that you were given a gift in your son, Kendall, and that he was loved and admired by so many. My son, Zachary, would come home from Mann and talk about what a good friend Kendall was to everyone. I know that Kendall made my son feel special, and I've always been grateful for that. Please know that my mother's heart is with yours and that I am sending you prayers full of light and love.
