Kendall Goodrich Obituary

Ken Goodrich, 75, went to be with the Lord March 27, 2016 (Easter Sunday). He lived such an amazing life and also finished very well. He lived a peaceful life and was blessed with a peaceful death. He entered into hospice in September while battling cancer and had come to live with his daughter. He was blessed to have wonderful care through hospice and was able to focus on prayer, his life in Jesus and his family. He was certainly ready to leave this earth and to see his Savior, Jesus. He "chose" this beautiful day of Easter to celebrate with his Savior and his beloved wife, Janet. Together they were able to celebrate Easter as none of us on this earth have--face to face with the Creator.

Ken married his beloved wife in 1963 and was married for 49 years until her passing in 2013. He resided in Colorado for nearly 40 years. For most of his life, Ken worked in the investments field as a Stock Broker. He served in the Air Force from 1966-1970 and was a proud Patriot.

He enjoyed his family very much. He and Janet had two daughters, Michelle Bartee and Katrina Watson. His favorite pastime was spending moments of love with his six grandchildren. He enjoyed them immensely and was an integral part of their lives.

Ken was a friend to many and was always available to offer a hand for someone in need. He was an encourager, supporter, friend, dad, husband and papa-and was loved dearly. He is survived by his two daughters Michelle Bartee and her husband Scott, Katrina Watson and her husband Val and his two brothers Carmen and Randol as well as his six grandchildren.

A service celebrating Ken's wonderful life will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 10 AM at the Shrine of Remembrance Chapel located at 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. in Colorado Springs.

Hi Papa, It's been 6 years since you last saw me. You'll never guess how much I have grown in the past couple years! The last time you saw me I was a white belt one stripe in karate, now I am a first degree black belt. I have also graduated with my associates degree. I finally understand all of the things you were teaching me when I was little. I have missed you so much this Easter and I keep thinking about all of the fun we had together. I love you very much Papa.

Love, Your little buddy

WOW!If only we could talk.. I would ask my friend about this. 1 Cor.2:9 . We would speak for hours about heaven, end times, the election, etc. He must be smiling about all that stuff. Ken, we miss you a lot. I love this picture it remind me of a great friend and last time we were together. Looking forward to the day we can walk and talk in heaven.

I met Kendall 33 years ago, but it feels like it was yesterday. He always had a kind word to share and enjoyed heart felt conversations. I know Kendall and Janet are forever together in heaven, but I will surely miss them here on earth.
Sending my condolences to the family.
