Kenneth Frizzell Obituary

Kenneth Lawrence Frizzell 66 of Colorado Springs died of a heart attack on January 14, 2007 at his home. Ken was born February 20, 1940 in Kansas City Kansas to Lillie White and Kenneth Hargis. Ken was adopted by his step-father Richard Frizzell in 1954. Throughout his life Ken worked as an aircraft mechanic, machinist, truck driver, dairy farmer, cartographer, and printer. He was employed in Colorado Springs at Ampex and Sanborn. Ken served in the Army in Korea from 1959 to 1962. He is remembered as a dedicated employee and a loyal colleague. Ken loved spending fun times with his family, eating and telling jokes. He loved sharing his experiences farming and truck- driving with anyone who would listen. Ken was a man who was generous with his time and money, even when he had almost nothing to his name. Ken got along with everyone and was constantly starting friendly conversations with people waiting in lines, at stop lights, and anywhere. Ken loved animals. On his farm he had names for all of his cats, dogs, cattle, and pigs. Ken lived at peace with himself and his God and he truly loved people. In 1995 Ken married his wife Linda whom he adored and treated like a queen. Memorial services will be held at 7pm Thursday, January 18 at Grace Bible Church in Colorado Springs. We love you Ken, you will be greatly missed.

Ken Frizzell

He was a man’s man
And as gentle as a lamb
He was the life of a party
And laughed heartily
A great guy on a grill
To him, serving was a thrill
Always quick to lend an ear
Never ashamed to shed a tear

I’m honored to say Ken was my friend. Linda, we will uphold you before the throne in prayer as you grieve and learn to rejoice in your loss. Romans 5:1-11

I know you don't know me, but I knew Ken. He was my father in law for 5 years. He was the kindest, gentlest man I think I had ever met. He loved life, his children and he cherished his grandchildren. His smile was infectious and his love for life was evident. I am so sorry for your loss and will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Linda,
We can not begin to tell you how deeply saddened we were to hear about the loss of your dear husband, Ken. He was a very kind, caring, generous and gentle friend. Although we did not know him for very long, we were truly blessed with his friendship. Our hearts and prayers are with Ken, you and your family.

Linda, we loved Ken very much. He always treated me with the greatest respect. Deb and I are mourning his loss. He is in a far better place. Jojo still rides the bike he gave her.

Ken, you have been the best thing that ever happened to me in my earthly life. I treasure the moments we shared. I am grateful to God that he loaned you to me for these past 11 1/2 years. You went to be with our Lord on my birthday and you said you couldn't find my card. I thought maybe you had forgotten it was my birthday, but Randy found the card in your Bible in with the bulletins. On the envelope you called me "Your Queen" as you did many times before. You treated me as if I were a queen and I thank you for that. Thank for always cheering me on to do better in life. I will always cherish the way we could laugh and cry together. You have been many things to me. I have called you my "Valium" because you could calm my fears. My hero, my best friend. I will miss you dear, and hope my wait to see you again won't be to long.
I love you.
