Kenneth Kramer Obituary

June 9, 1926 - December 30, 2008
Kenneth "Doc" V. Kramer, age 82, a longtime Colorado Springs resident, passed away on December 30, 2008 in Colorado Springs. Mr. Kramer was born June 9, 1926 in Dyersville, Iowa, a son of the late Frank and Frances Tobin Kramer. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He loved canoeing, photography, shooting guns and reading military history. Kenneth had also worked as an Evidence Custodian for the Colorado Springs Police Department. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Security. Mr. Kramer was always a gentlemen and a gentle man. He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Kramer of Colorado Springs, and Charlotte and her husband Dick Carlson of Peyton; son, Kenneth V .Kramer III, of Pinellas Park, Florida; grandchildren, Alice Kramer of Colorado Springs and Rae Carlson and Sam Carlson, both of Peyton and a great grandson, Dax Wilson of Colorado Springs and his niece, Lynne McArdle of Las Vegas, Nevada. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Clella Marie Crist; brother, Frank Kramer and sister, Hope Rometti and his first son, Kenneth V. Kramer II. A Prayer Service will be at 5:30 PM with a Rosary at 6:30 PM on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at Evergreen Funeral Home Chapel, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM on Monday, January 5, 2009 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 626 Aspen Drive, Security, Colorado. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock, Colorado Springs.

Ken was one of the kindest people I've ever known. I worked with him in evidence years ago. He was such a gentle person, very respectful and down-to-earth. I'm sorry to hear of his passing.
