I am Amber's father ...You see I never got to meet Kenny. Sad huh! I had my daughter and grandkids fly out to visit but never enough time to meet Kenny. I went out to be with my daughter because dads need to be there when there Children are hurting so bad that they can't breath. I got to meet Kenny's family and as I listined to them talk about him I feel I got to know a little about him. I will say my daughter loved him so much.

Kenny was a very special friend to me. Although we had not seen eachother for about eight years, it seems like just yesterday we were sharing our friendship. Kenny was a wonderful person, always laughing, and having a good time. He will surely be missed. To Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lanza, Sara, Gabby, Amber, Destiny and Surina, I am truly sorry for your loss. May God be with you all in this time of sorrow.

Dear parents, relatives and friends of Ken. I was Ken's Spanish teacher for one semester at PPCC and absolutely enjoyed his presence in class, his enthusiasm for learinig the Spanish language, and especially for his constant excitement for working with others in the classroom. Please know that I consider Ken to be one of the finest students that I ever had the opportunity to know and to teach. He afforded me a very fond memory of what a "student" is all about! I will certainly miss seeing him in the college...his ready smile and his sharing some of his art projects. Tim Davis

Dear Lanza family:
I wish I had known last week so I could have celebrated Kenneth's life with you and mourn his passing.
Kenneth was one of my English 122 students at PPCC and I was very fond of him. He was one of my favorites for sure. I was so proud of all that he had personally accomplished in his life and I admired his strength of purpose and willingness to talk about the things he'd been through.
He was talented and good, always willing to help out his classmates and be a role model for them. I will miss his art, his writing, his passion for life. My heart goes out to all of you in this senseless loss. Just know that Kenneth is somewhere out there being light for the rest of us. He was well loved at PPCC and I personally will never forget him or the lessons he taught me.
Sincerely,
Deidre Farrington Schoolcraft, English Department, PPCC

Although I didn't know Kenny incredibly well I have heard many fond memories and stories from my stepdad (Matt Lanza, one of Kenny's uncles) and his other family members. Kenny will be missed by all but we must remember that he is smiling down on us from heaven.

Ken was the work study in my first jewelry and metalwork class this spring. He was always SO cheerful and helpful and talked lovingly of his wife and daughters. I especially remember him reading a Popular Science magazine his wife brought home to him, knowing he would be interested in the article he was reading.
Ken was the same age as my son, who also has two children. My grandmother heart sends hugs to all his family
