Kenneth Puckett Obituary

SGM (RET) Kenneth M. Puckett was born on June 15, 1944 in Warriormine, West Virginia. He entered into eternal life November 21, 2012. Ken was a proud Infantryman with 26 years of service, a Veteran of The United States Army, serving 4 tours in Vietnam. He was awarded numerous medals and awards, including the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. After retiring from the military, Ken was a Supervisor for the Operations and Plans Branch at Fort Carson. Ken was a loving and devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed watching his grandkids play ball and attended all of their school activities. Ken was preceded in death by his parents William and Norma Puckett, 6 brothers and 3 sisters. Ken is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter, Tanya (James) Winston; sons: Shannon (Vicki), and Eddy; five grandchildren: Christian, Cambrelle, Elijah, Devon, and Meighton; sister, Jean Hardy; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Ken is loved by his family and friends, and will be dearly missed. God speed. Services will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 10:00am at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. I worked for Ken for 9 years. He saved me from the heat of Ft Hood. I would have been to his funeral, but I had lost my Mom the day before. My condolences to his family.
