SEBASTIAN, FL -- Kenneth L. Sargent, Sr., 76, died unexpectedly at his home in Sebastian, FL, on September 22, 2013.

Ken was born in Woburn, MA and spent his early years in Billerica, MA. He met and married his wife of 51 years, Helene (of Arlington, MA), in 1962, and settled in Chelmsford, MA to raise their two children, Lisa and Ken, Jr. They eventually moved to Barrington, NH and subsequently retired to Sebastian, FL where they have lived for 14 years.

Ken served in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Helene (Boyington); and daughter, Lisa Sargent. He was blessed to have five grandchildren, Tyler, Joshua and Olivia Briand, and Kaitlyn and Melissa Sargent; and two great-grandchildren, Landon and Gavin Briand; as well as his three sisters, Joan Fortier of Danville, NH and Bonita Springs, FL, Lois Waters of Danville, NH, and Laurel Brigham of Acton, Maine.

He is preceded in death by his son, Kenneth l. Sargent, Jr., and his parents, Lauris and Dorothy (Kleynen) Sargent.

SARGENT -- In lieu of flowers, donations to H.A.L.O. Animal Rescue & Adoption Center (a no-kill shelter), 710 Jackson St., Sebastian, FL 32958 would be greatly appreciated. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
