Kevin Wilson Obituary

Kevin Wilson, age 50, died of acute right heart failure in addition to his long-time battle of pulmonary hypertension and interstitial lung disease on September 20th, 2021, in Houston, TX.



Kevin is survived by his son, Thomas (Amber) Wilson; his mother and Stepfather, Marti (Art) Lucero; his brother, Brian (Brenda) Wilson; Also survived by his Stepbrother David (Michelle) Lucero, nephew Sam and niece Sophia. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his Father, Gerald Wilson.



Kevin was born on March 31st, 1971, in Pueblo, CO, to parents Gerald Wilson and Marti (Billups) Lucero. He graduated from Rampart High School in 1989. In 2000, he accepted a position as a Store Manager at Brake Plus – Colorado Springs, where he worked for more than 15 years before being placed on long term disability. He moved to Livingston, TX in April of 2021 with his love Tammy that gave him another spark of life that allowed him live out and fulfill his bucket list for his last year.



Kevin was a great family man and a loving father. He was never married; however, his spirits were kept strong through many years with loving girlfriends and friends that were met during his time. He was a social, active man who was deeply involved in his love for cars; various other projects; and his love for cooking unique meals. He enjoyed surprising family with his amazing talent, coaching his son in many sports, and giving people a hard time. His family and friends will always remember him as a strong hearted and extremely talented person.



A memorial/remembrance is scheduled for Kevin on October 23rd, 2021, from 11 am to 3 pm at the Antelope Ridge Club House located at 4001 Gray Fox Heights, Colorado Springs, CO 80922. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Kevin's life. The family would like to thank all friends and family who has remembered Kevin and gave him hope for life after he was thrown some hard life challenges.
