Kimesa Lindner Obituary

You would have been 66 years old today if you were still with us. Your death was a tremendous tragedy. The pain of losing you is still heavy in my heart. I still miss you everyday and will love you always, my dear baby sister.

I remember her best from high school days in Berlin, Germany as we were military brats. It was a wonderful time and place to be young. During those times, for me it was 1969 through 1972, I knew all three of the Shipley girls, but it was Kimesa who was closer to my grade level, so I was more likely to run into her, even though all of them had a presence in my life back then.

Fast forward to 2000-2003, I had moved to Colorado Springs for a job in property management and reconnected with Renee as the military brat connections never really expire. I had the opportunity to meet Kimesa again as an adult and it was just so nice to be in the company of old friends - if youre a brat, youre almost always still friends, regardless of the passing of time.

I will always remember her until the day I finally pass, as well as her sisters, Renee and Tamara.

To Renee and Tamara especially, know that you are in my thoughts and will never be forgotten.

Kimesa was a freind an co-worker. The loving compassionate care she showed the little ones under our care was amazing. She showed the same genuine compassion for all she knew. Kimesa will be greatly missed.

I was so sorry to learn of the loss of your little sister, Kimesa. I'll always treasure the times we all had playing as young children at your house (and in the drainage ditch). Kimesa was the youngest, but we all played together as one fun group of kids. You were so supportive to me when Davey went to heaven. Hi, I knew Kimesa through my older brother & sister: Rick & Gayle when we lived in Belin. Kimesa was one of the very few older kids/teens that was genuinely nice to me. I still remember how she would let me play with Little Bit and Honey. I would like to expess my sincere condolences to the Shipley family. Terrylyn

I will always remember Kimesa from the reunion in 1996 in Dallas. The relationship she had with Rene mirrored my own with my sister, Cathy. I can only imagine how painful this must be for all of you.

Rob and I are so sorry for your tremendous loss of your best friend and sister Kimesa. You always spoke of her love for her special kids and her horses and I bet they miss her too. How tragic that such a warm, giving person has been taken away at such a young age. I guess ours is not to question why, but to appreciate all that she was. As with other fellow Berlin American High School alums, I must say I do remember Kimesa's smile and her great spirit. She will be missed by all who were fortunate to know her. I hope somehow you will find peace.

I’ve had the privilege of being Kimesa’s visiting teacher from church for a couple of years now. One can’t help but love her! Though I’m not certain who was teaching whom, please know that she has a strong testimony of the Atonement of Christ and will be there to greet us when it is our turn to pass through the veil. After all, families (even extended ones) can be together forever!

To Renee and family, my heartfelt sympathies to your family at the time of this loss.

In every memory I have of Kimesa, she's wearing a big, bright smile. Kinder, gentler spirits than Kimesa and Renee' never walked the earth. My thoughts are with you, Renee', Lenny and Tamara, and with all who knew and loved her.

I was lucky enough to work with Kimesa a few years back. She was full of life & laughter. I only have fond memories of her. Please know that I will keep her in my heart and her family in my prayers.

Kimesa was a kind-hearted person with a great since of humor. I'll never forget how much she adored her grandson Darian. Even though we have lived many miles away for the last few years, Darian has never forgotten his Grandmother Kimesa or the good times he spent with her. She will be missed.

Kimesa and I were classmates at Berlin American High School, Class of '74. She was a crazy kinda gal, but a lot of fun. I think I remember seeing her last during the class reunion a few years back, in Breckenridge, CO. My heartfelt condolences to her family.

I'm so sorry too hear Kimesa has left us. She had such gusto for life and loving folks. My heart breaks to think of her. But her impact will ever be with me. All our lives are changed and blessed to have been touched by this beautiful soul.

I would like to say on my Grandmother's behalf that she was not only a good friend to all the family members she was a great and fun grandmother. For many of our clients and co-workers, Kimesa was a shining light where there wasn't one. We loved working with her and will miss her greatly.

Kimesa was the kindess person ever born! She saved me from isolation and taught me to imbrace life again.
She smiled with her whole face and Loved with her whole heart! If you were lucky enough to know her, you were blessed! Now I'll see her as a very bright star in the night sky, or a beautiful flower smileing at the sun. I'll keep the memory of her starburst eyes, and her heart warming smile in my heart forever.
