Kingsley J. Wimbush Obituary

Kingsley J Wimbush, beloved Husband, Father, Friend, and Counselor passed on 3/10/13 in Colorado Springs at 1:33 am after a brief illness. Born near Perth Australia on 12/5/44, Kingsley was the second son out of four boys born to Eileen and Clifford Wimbush. All his life Kingsley pursued knowledge, truth, and business. Kingsley was a self-taught man, teaching himself English, grammar, mathematics, and history as a young man and later computer programming, web design, and all Microsoft programs. His pursuit of truth led Kingsley down several paths. From the age of fifteen until he was thirty-eight, Kingsley was involved with the Church of Scientology. Through dedication and hard work, Kingsley was the head of two branches of the Church of Scientology at his dismissal. Later Kingsley discovered Christianity and applied Christian principles in all his affairs (both personal and professional). Kingsley always had an entrepreneurial spirit--from a young age of raising rabbits for profit, to starting his own "handy man" business as a teenager, to creating his own consulting business as a young man. Kingsley combined his search for truth with his interest in business improvement by developing his own pre-employment assessment testing service (Wimbush & Associates). Kingsley's testing and consulting services influenced business owners around the world into becoming more effective leaders. During his last few years, Kingsley influenced church leaders by applying business principles to the Christian environment. In addition to his business interests, Kingsley had various hobbies: traveling, chess (beating several software programs), golf enthusiast (shooting a round of 78 once), monitoring weather and stock market trends, and growing fruit trees. Kingsley is survived by his wife Vicki, son Fletcher (his wife Rocio) of Brea, CA, step-son Michael Littlefield of Colorado Springs, CO and his Australian family--two brothers (Bernie and Doug), five nieces, and one nephew. Kingsley had an influence on a wide assortment of people and will be deeply missed by family and friends. Kingsley's Celebration of Life service will be conducted at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N Cascade Colorado Springs, CO starting at 10 am on 3/23/13. Donations (in his name) in lieu of flowers can be sent to Red Rock Church (Building Fund), 320 W Filmore St #110, Colorado Springs, CO 80907. Condolences can be posted at www.Swan-law.com.
