Kristin Benjamin Obituary

George and family,

Sincerest sympathies for all of you in your loss. It's never easy to bid that last farewell, but we have faith that we will all be united in eternal life. Our prayers are with you.

I was so sorry to hear that Kris passed away. I have so many memories of her from my days as a girl scout. I will never forget her warm smile & kind heart.
I think of her & laugh a little each summer when I take my children camping. My first camping experience was with Kris at Camp Moseywood. I was so convinced I was going to be eaten by wild animals - I needed to sleep in her tent. She took me in with open arms & assured me nothing was going to get me.
My thoughts & prayers are with the Benjamin family. I will think of Kris & smile.

Over the years I have known her, Kristin has given generously of her musical knowledge and talents. Her contribution to the Lehigh Valley folk music community is beyond measure, and she is sorely missed. But just as she would wish, we will sing on. I offer here excerpts from an original poem:

In memory of those whose lifetimes deserve
To be celebrated in music and words,
That moment of silence that's often observed
I'd exchange for a moment of song.

If our voices be blended in close harmony
'Til we sing the last chorus of life's melody
Then our music will echo a sweet legacy,
Bequeathed in a moment of song.

In memory of all the good times we've known.

George and Family, Amy and I send our deepest condolences and send our thoughts and prayers to all of you at this difficult time.

George, I am very sorry to hear of Kristen's passing. She stayed in touch all these years and I always enjoyed reading about her performances and the goings on of the Benjamin family. She will be thoroughly missed, but not forgotten. Richard Griffin

George, sincere sympathies on the loss of Kristin. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I have known Mrs. B for 18 years. She has been not only a wonderful friend to me but also she was almost like a mother. I met her back when I was 15 years old, her daughter Samantha and I became friends at school. I had so many good memories with her from when Samantha and I and Mrs. B went to Peddlers Village. As I got older and Sammy moved to San Fran Mrs B and I continued our adventures sort of like Thelma and Louise...... One of our best trips was the Fortune concert in Virginia 2007 seeing the statler brothers.
We had a lot of laughs and we always had great adventures. Times with her were enjoyable and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Hardest thing is knowing she isn't here anymore she was a strong and courageous woman always kept things positive. She had a great love for music and sang well in her folk band. I miss her but I know she is in a better place and one day I will see her again.

Samantha, you mom will always be in your heart and your memories of her will live on forever.

To the Benjamin Family,

I send my deepest condolences during this tremendously difficult time. Ms. Kristin touched so many lives in so many ways, and I know you all are so proud of her. We all are. Her bright spirit, her compassion, her creativity… those are all values that live on through you and through everyone she influenced.

Your PA Chamber family wants to express our sympathy for the recent loss of your mother. Losing a close family member is always difficult. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to assist you and your family during this trying time. In lieu of flowers, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry will be sending a donation in memory of your mother to the Lehigh Valley Hospice.

I was very blessed to have been honored to get to know you. I think you were a fantastic woman, I really enjoyed sitting and talking with you during our visit. I wish I could be there. We only met a few times throughout the years, but at each meeting you left a meaningful impression and some of your words of wisdom will always echo in my heart. I pray for your eternal peace and for courage for your family to move forward.

Kristin, you were such a wonderful person to know. You sent me hope when there was a tragedy in my family. I will never forget you.

You will always be in our hearts.

I will miss my friend dearly, I'm dying inside, drinking a bottle of Pinot for you my friend and listening to your voice on Angel in America.....I will miss you singing at my family picnics......you were my rock....land I don't know where I will find the strength to live in a world without you in it.....you always kept me balanced.....I'm glad your in no more pain....remember....keep on the sunny side
