Kurt C. Wilbur, 62, passed away on March 9, 2024, after a 3-yr battle with leukemia. He is survived by his wife Carol, parents Rich and Jody Wilbur, and brothers Jeff (Lynda) Wilbur and Eric (Anne) Wilbur. Kurt moved from Colorado Springs to Dallas 30 years ago to pursue a career in the wholesale music industry. By the time he retired more than two decades later, he had serviced music store accounts in over 15 states and was widely known for his honesty, hard work, and dedication to his customers.
Kurt never missed an opportunity to encourage people musically; he put instruments and accessories in the hands of countless people over the years, always believing that music is a necessary part of life. He himself was a singer, songwriter, and guitarist.
Kurt often seemed larger-than-life, with an exuberant laugh that drew people to him; his large circle of friends from golf and pickleball were a constant source of joy and incredibly supportive during his last three years.
While it is hard to say goodbye, peace comes from knowing that Kurt is now safely home. His was a life well-lived, and he will always be deeply loved.
A memorial service will be held in Colorado Springs on Friday, April 5, 10:30 am, at First Lutheran Church, 1515 N. Cascade, 80907. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, www.lls.org.

Jodi, Rich, Jeff, and Eric, and all family of Kurt,
I was saddened to hear of Kurt´s passing. I still think of the boys as the little boys next door on W. 32nd in Hays. It is hard to believe that he was 62. But then...I´m 70.
Prayer´s for you all through the days ahead.
With Love,
Sherri Hobbs Arnhold
