Kyle Howard Obituary

DUKE CENTER, Pa. - Kyle William Howard, 23, of 776 Main St., passed away Tuesday (July 10, 2012) in the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, after a short, courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Born June 10, 1989, in Bradford, he was a son of William C. Howard Jr. and Terrie L. Stives Borkowski.
Kyle was a 2007 graduate of Otto-Eldred High School and a 2009 graduate of Triangle Tech in Erie. He began working for Dal Tile Co. in Olean from 2009 until his passing.
He was an avid hunter and especially enjoyed the sport with his uncle and grandfather. He was also a motorcycle enthusiast and shared the road with his friends and fellow motorcyclists, Nate and Cari. As a sports-minded person, he loved following the Miami Dolphins and reveled in his camaraderie with his friend P.J., who is a Buffalo Bills fan. Overall, he was immensely loved by all his family and friends, and they will miss his witty sense of humor and relentless teasing.
Surviving are his mother, Terrie Borkowski of Duke Center; his father and stepmother, William and Mari Kranock Howard of Olean; two brothers, Kirk C. Howard of Cincinnati and Kelby L. Howard of Duke Center; three sisters, Amanda M. (Wade Smith) Howard of Austin, Texas, and Cameron E. Howard and Payton N. Howard, both of Olean; a maternal grandmother, Penny Stives of Duke Center; a paternal grandmother, Molly L. Howard of Allegany; his paternal stepgrandparents, Michael and Carol Kranock of Jamestown and Diane Capitani of Olean; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind his loving girlfriend, Angela Luty of Olean, who stood by him so strongly these past 10 months.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Richard D. Stives; and his paternal grandfather, William C. Howard Sr.
Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State St., Olean. Funeral services will be held Saturday (July 14, 2012), beginning with a prayer service at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of the Angels Church. The Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Otto Ambulance Fund, the McKean County SPCA, P.O. Box 113, Bradford, PA 16701; or to the ReHabilitation Center, 1439 Buffalo St., Olean, NY 14760. Online condolences can be expressed at www.oleanfuneralhome.com.
