I have such strong and vivid memories of Kyle. He wasn't a stranger to me since he was in the classroom across the hallway in his 4th grade year. I was so delighted to see his name on my class list the following year. Kyle and few other truly challenged me that year. They were like sponges, never was anything challenging enough. To add to that, they were so competitive with each other. They were such a joy but so much work. Kyle was always the one who was worried about me and making sure I was okay. I'd get stressed and he'd rub my back. What a kind and wonderful young man he was!! His picture sits on my bookshelf and I get to see his smiling face daily. I miss him but know that he's in a place that watches over all of us and helps us when needed. Kyle is a one-of-a-kind and I'm so blessed to have had his life present in mine. I love him dearly and miss him terribly.

Kyle is looking down at all of us and keeping us safe, he was my special angel and know he is an angel watching over us. Kyle I love you and miss you every day of my life. Love Mom

Robin shared this guest book with me, and I think it is a great tribute to your son. Reading what others have written is so very moving. I was not fortunate enough to know your son, but through the different entries, I feel I got a glimpse of the special person he was. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Wow! I can't believe we missed this amazing journal until now about the best kid I've ever met. To say he was a gem just doesn't seem to cut it. To say he was a sweetheart too doesn't cover everything. To say he is an angel is as close to accurate as I can describe. He was a very special boy. Sweet, good, full of heart, full of joy. Kyle had strength I could never imagine having. He is a reminder of the goodness in this crazy world. A breath from God that touched all of us.
We love you both, Angie and Scott, and think of you often. May God continue to hold you both in his hands and bring you comfort every day.

Angie and Scott,

Even though we are miles apart and don't get to see each other very often, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I didn't get to know Kyle as well as I did some of my other cousins, but what I do remember of him is this. I remember a happy, full of life, fun-loving boy who embraced the world. He reminds me of both of you.

Reading what people wrote about him in here, I can see what a loving and caring boy he was. He will truly be missed.

Kyle was such a special little guy. He was my neighbor for 4 years and I surely missed him when I moved out of my townhouse in Manassas. Kyle was always friendly, always helpful and smiling. He used to love to come over and help me wash my car - even in the middle of January when I had to turn the water on in the basement so the pipes didn't freeze - we'd be out there washing my car and he used to think it was so funny that my cats would peek out the door at us. He made an impact - I will remember him always - my heart goes out to you Scott and Angie - Carrie Jett and Luke

Dear Angie & Scott,

Tomorrow we'll gather together around 'Kyle's tree' at Stonewall Middle School. I look forward to seeing you and Scott, but admit it will be difficult to see you come down the hall without him. I miss my lunch meetings with Kyle, I miss his gentle way of joking with others, and I miss his smile. He was a special little guy. May your love give you comfort during your grief. Please know that I'll hold you both in my heart... with Kyle...always.

It took me awhile to figure out what to say and this pretty much says it all. I miss Kyle very much!!

Your Little Angel

It's hard for us to fathom. No one truly understands

that this child that has been taken is now held tenderly in God's hands.

Cared for and nurtured by the Father, he will grow and mature in His love,

while angels guide and keep him in his Heavenly home up above.

They will tell him he is special and that you love him, even more-so today

as they spend countless hours preparing for your reunion One Grand Day!

They will take him to the edges of Heaven and let him look often down below

to see the loved ones left down here that he didn't get much time to know.

So as you gaze up into the sky, know he's now in a Glorious place,

and maybe he's looking back at you ~ searching for a smile upon your face.

For I'm certain that in his little heart it grieves him to see you cry,

and if he could he would tell you: "It's See you later! ~ not goodbye!"

Angie & Scott: I think back to the morning Angie and Kyle had breakfast with me at IHOP. Kyle was so full of life, enjoying school and the IP classes he was taking, and of course enjoying his gameboy which he brought with him to pay while Angie & I talked. Not many children of his age want to learn and learn. I was just amazed at the way he presented himself - he was more like a young man than an adolescent. He was interesting to listen to also. He has really changed my life -- live each day to the fullest and always have a smile on your face. He will truly be missed by all that knew him. You both are in our thoughts and prayers and Kyle is an Angel to us all. Love you both, Becky

I was one of the people at our last Relay for Life who had the blessing and joy to meet Kyle. I never knew a little boy with a wonderful smile to win hearts that won so many that day. As I took our Victory Lap holding on to the one side of Kyle's wheelchair, I knew that this is the reason that we all walk. Thank you both for sharing a ever so brief moment with Kyle. For that brief moment, he has changed my life forever. I will remember always, the smile as I passed him and Scott watching us walk from the sidelines and it will always be in my heart when Kyle waved to push me onward. Thank you so very much for sharing Kyle and I know that God needed a wonderful beautiful angel named Kyle. As you said to me after the Relay, Scott, Kyle will walk with you next year and he will. He will be the brightest shinest star in our heavens and we will carry on the good fight. Thanks again with all my love and prayers to you both, Angie and Scott, for sharing your angel Kyle with me -- he has changed my life forever.
