L. Helton Obituary

L. Gerald Helton, age 82, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on March 15, 2009 in Colorado Springs. Gerald was born on October 27, 1926 in Hamilton, Ohio, the son of the late, Lawrence and Edythe (Hudson) Helton. He was retired from the United States Air Force having served during World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam. He later retired as a clerk from the United States Postal Service. Gerald was a 50 year Mason and a Past Master of Manitou Masonic Lodge #68. He was an active member of many Masonic organizations. He is survived by his wife, Florence, a son, Gerald, three daughters, Karen Teal, Linda Haas and Lorna Vallad, five grandchildren, Serena Hillman, Brent Helton, Nikolas Haas, Deanna Helton and Lily Haas. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Manitou Masonic Lodge # 68, 455 El Paso Blvd., Manitou Springs, Colorado 80829.
